Hyaluronic Acid and Acai - The Two Greatest Skincare Ingredients

The skincare industry is a juggernaut dominated by some huge corporations. The trend we are seeing in more recent years is for more natural, boutique skincare products that focus on key ingredients that really work and don’t rely purely on a well-known brand name to sell just any old product dressed up as the latest and greatest thing.

Here at La Kult we have been planning the development of a range of skincare products focused on our key Superfood ingredients, particularly Acai and Camu Camu which both have fantastic antioxidant properties and high levels of vitamin C which is a key building block for collagen production.

Our first product, which will be released later this year, is called H.A Serum which is a Hyaluronic Acid with Acai serum which focuses on skin hydration and anti-ageing. We take a look at both of these key ingredients in more detail to show you how they are two of the best skincare ingredients available today.

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic Acid naturally occurs in the body, acting as a lubricating agent for joints, skin, nerves, hair and eyes. As we age, including environmental factors, our skin’s ability to retain moisture as well as natural levels of Hyaluronic Acid decrease. This can leave the skin feeling dry and vulnerable to damage.

Hyaluronic acid works very well at keeping the skin stable by allowing the skin to hold and retain moisture (one gram of hyaluronic acid can hold up to six litres of water), ensuring your skin stays youthful, radiant and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid is also rich in antioxidants which assist in anti-ageing and help protect against environmental factors such as sun damage.

Acai

Acai is a Superfood from the Amazon rainforest which is known to be the highest source of antioxidants on the planet. It has a huge number of health benefits, high in vitamin A, C and E as well as amino acids. Due to its high levels of antioxidants it is also fantastic as a skincare ingredient and is starting to become one of the new ingredients in skincare products.

The high levels of vitamin A, C and E assist in skin regeneration and give your skin a radiant youthful look as well as improving the skin’s elasticity. This is due to the high vitamin C content which promotes the production of collagen.

Our H.A Serum is currently in the final stages of development and we look forward to bringing you guys this great product which is the start of our next step in the development of our brand.

Stay tuned for a release date but in the meantime, you can check out our range of Australian Certified Organic Superfoods at www.la-kult.com.au.
